Adobe Ending Flash, looking to HTML5
Adobe recently announced that it will be ending it’s Flash product by the end of 2020. With the help of it’s partners – Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Mozilla – Adobe will oversee the project and make sure that there is a smooth transition to the open format of HTML5.
Flash has been historically famous (or infamous) for having a constant stream of security vulnerabilities. So it’s safe to say that it should not surprise you when I say the more you use Flash, the more vulnerable you are to viruses, spyware, and other exploits.
According to Adobe, browsers are incorporating many features into their browsers that once needed plugins to run. Flash was a hugely popular plugin but is looking at a sharp decline at this moment.
